Curtis Stephan: American Catholic Musician, Composer, and Inspirational Speaker

For their anniversary years, the parishes of Queen of the Assumption Dalkey and St. Patrick's Monkstown will pursue a new vision to revitalize the Parish by seeking new, dynamic ways to intentionally carry out our baptismal call to discipleship. In November, they welcome Curtis and young adult Catholic speaker, Erin Horomanski, to recharge and renew, with a primary focus on teens, young adults, and musicians, as well as to offer thoughtful ideas and insights to our leaders.

A lifelong musician with strong roots in parish life, Curtis’s faith journey has led him to serve the Church worldwide with music that leads people to an encounter with Christ. People leave more inspired and connected to God and the Church through his witness.

For the week-long mission Curtis and Erin will lead:

  • retreats for secondary schools around the area
  • a workshop for musicians on the use of contemporary music, and helping to awaken a renewed sense of purpose in their ministry
  • an inspiring and motivational leadership training
  • an acoustic session and Q&A for young adults at a local pub
  • worship for Mass, engaging young people to participate, and demonstrating the effective use of contemporary music as a ministry to the congregation
  • other events as the Spirit moves

Specializing in liturgical and youth oriented events, Curtis brings a dynamic style in presenting the Gospel.  Driven to “bear fruit that will last”, Curtis has recorded several albums with SpiritandSong.com with songs that have become favorites in churches worldwide.  His Mass of Renewal has become a staple in churches throughout the US and his rousing “Go Out, Go Out” has been used at diocesan and national gatherings across the world including the 2014 Papal Mass in Daejon, South Korea with Pope Francis.
