Mondays at the Monastery

Date: 04 Dec 2017

Venue: Presentation Brothers House, Glasthule

The ‘Monday at the Monastery’ series of talks returns to Presentation Brothers House in Glasthule, Co Dublin for three sessions leading to Christmas. The series continues to prove a popular part of the Brothers’ desire to see their mission in a new way.

Monday at the Monastery started in the Church’s Year of Faith (2012-13). It has attracted many different speakers over the years, including John Waters, Sister Consilio Fitzgerald, and broadcaster George Hook.

This Advent, the talks will focus on the theme of encountering Christ at Christmas, including Waiting for Christ, Welcoming Christ, and celebrating Christ in the Family.

On Monday 4th December, Dr Aoife McGrath will speak about encountering Christ in the family, while looking forward to the World Meeting of Families, which is due to take place in Ireland next August.

Finally, on Monday 11th December, Spirit Radio’s Dom Perrem will interview a group of young Catholic adults, who will speak about welcoming Christ into their lives.

The talks are free to attend, but booking is advisable, by emailing events@PresentationBrothers.org. Each talk begins at 7.30pm, and concludes with a cup of tea and chat. You can even listen back to some of the previous talks on this website.
